Somebody asked Uwe Boll to make another video game movie!

Fuck Uwe, too.

And that somebody is 1988 Games for their upcoming title Zombie Massacre for Nintendo Wii. The game is still in development, so no release date on that.

“In essence, Zombie Massacre is a cross between the games Crazy Taxi and House of the Dead, with a pinch of Blast Corps. thrown in for taste,” said Benjamin Krotin, producer of the game. “Using the unique motion-sensing controls of the Wii, players will drive and shoot through a fast-paced, arcade-style zombie adventure, with a focus on combing the timed-racing and light-gun shooting genres.”

Evidently, 1988 Games figured that they had an idea that would transfer well to the big screen and thought of Uwe Boll FIRST. The budget for the film is so far set for $6 Million, a massive cut from his latest Dungeon Siege budget of $70 Million, which so far has only made $7 Million internationally at the box office.

If you aren’t in the know (you can pat yourself on the back for missing out), Uwe Boll is responsible for video game-to-movie titles such as Blood Rayne, Postal, Alone in the Dark and most offensively, in my opinion, the House of the Dead Series.

Let’s hop Uwe Boll can pull that finger out of his ass for this one.

The Post-Apocalyptic Workout

On strike WGA TV writer Nina Bargiel, aka the Slackmistress , has started the Post-Apocalyptic Workout, to better her chances of surviving a zombie outbreak (and apparently kill time while on strike). Watch her introduction video here. Here is the list of skills to learn/ things to do, so that Bargiel can better her chance at surviving a zombie massacre:

  • get leaner (disencourage cannibalism)
  • get stronger
  • do a pull-up/lift bodyweight
  • get faster (outrun zombies)
  • be able to run with a Daisy the Wonderdog strapped to me
  • figure out way to strap Daisy the Wonderdog to me
  • basic first aid
  • advanced first aid
  • CPR (adult, child & infant)
  • be prepared (stock emergency supplies)
  • load & fire handgun
  • load & fire shotgun
  • basic construction
  • welding
  • cooking over campfire
  • rock climbing
  • basic mending & sewing
  • growing food
  • storing food
  • purchase bike
  • bike safety
  • woodchopping
  • sledgehammering
  • soapmaking
  • knifethrowing
  • orienteering
  • starting/building a fire sans matches
  • archery/crossbow skills
  • basic veterinary first aid
  • farm animal keeping/care
  • horseback riding

Watch her prepare for the oncoming zombie apocalypse, or train along side her and be more prepared yourself. This could end up being a good way to learn a new skill in the new year, or at least have a mild chuckle. The disencourage cannibalism by losing weight made me chuckle, a little. Worth checking out, to kill some time of your own.

Zombie Massacre

Uwe Boll

The director that everyone loves to hate, Uwe Boll, announced that he would be bringing yet another video game to the big screen – Zombie Massacre. This time, the video game hasn’t even been released yet, but the premise of the game sounds promising:

The goal of the game is to drive a fully-armed nuclear warhead (that’s stowed in the trunk of their vintage 1950s convertible) into the center of a city overflowing with zombies.

I’m sure we’re in for a big let-down given Boll’s history, especially given his total disregard for source material.
