Techland, developers of the upcoming Dead Island video game, sent out this cool zombie postcard for Christmas this year. You can send one to your friends (digitally) on their website. Nothing like a rotting zombie head to brighten up the holiday!

Primotechnology.com has an interview up with Adrian Ciszewski, producer of the upcoming zombie video game Dead Island.

PT: AI is tricky in a zombie game because zombies don’t have a whole lot of brains to begin with. At least, brains of their own. How do you overcome this?

AC: No one really knows how zombies act because they don’t really exist. That’s why we got a lot of freedom. Of course we want to be accurate with George A. Romero and other creators of the zombie subject. In Dead Island zombies behavior is based on primal instincts, I would even say it’s animal-like. The main character can take advantage of zombies constant hunger for fresh human flesh, for example if he sees a small group of slow walking undead he can act as a bait and get them to a hostile camp to do their thing and I don’t mean engage in small talk.

Earlier this month we brought you news of the upcoming Dead Island video game which has you fighting off zombies in a tropical paradise. Today Techland released this teaser trailer at the Leipzig Games Convention in Germany. It’s short but sweet!

Techland has announced it’s new X-Box 360 game Dead Island. This game looks like it has an insane amount of potential and may even force me to buy a 360. It’s scheduled 2008 and will also be availble for PC (Vista and XP). Here’s the deal:

A couple flying to the vacation of their dreams is torn apart by a violent plane crash. Take on a harrowing quest to find your lost wife. Enter into the dark world of a devastated tropical paradise now plunged into chaos. It’s a place where the word “dead” has an entirely new meaning. Face the nightmare and fight for survival. Explore the secrets hidden in the darkest regions of the island and fight your way through. Survival is your main goal!  

So if your wife becomes a zombie, you’d have to kill her. That’s heavy…go here for more info on the game.
