It took a while to find a service to host a video this large, but finally, here it is! 45 minutes of the original cast and crew of Night of the Living Dead talking about their experience.

Back in September the staff of the ZRC made a little video from footage shot at Zombie Walk Detroit. We are proud to announce that video will be part of the Mitten Movie Project Film Fest on Zombie Night!
Zombie Night is TOMORROW, (Tuesday November 6th, 2007) at 7 PM at the Main Art Theater in Royal Oak, Michigan. Tickets at the door are $10 (presale tickets are $8 if you can still get them!) Many other Made-in-Michigan zombie films and shorts will also be shown (including the preview for Buddy BeBop vs. the Living Dead).
Come on out and see ZRC content on the big screen and more importantly come celebrate and support the local indie scene!

It’s Sunday and the Sunday video tutorial is back! This time Erin helped us out and is your host for this video showing you how to make a delicious and frighiening graveyard cake. Everything you need to know is in the video below:

Ever wish you were a zombie and could eat brains? Well this dessert is a close substitute for the real thing! It’s a brain shaped dish that actually “bleeds” when you cut into it! Check out our instructional video on how to make it below:
Complete recipe for the Bleeding Brain
Boil the water and add it to all 3 packages of flavored gelatin and all 3 packets of unflavored gelatin. Mix well and let cool to room temperature. Stir in evaporated milk and fill brain mold half-way with the mixture. Let mold cool in the refrigerator while leaving the leftover gelatin out.
Mix corn syrup, grenadine and food coloring to make the fake blood filling. Turn the plastic bag inside out, fill with fake blood, and tie off making sure there is no air pockets.
Once the brain mold has cooled, place the blood bag into the mold and fill the rest of the mold up with the leftover gelatin mixture. Cool fully.
When it’s time to serve the dish, cut into it with a large knife making sure to puncture the blood bag. Twist the knife slightly to make the blood ooze out.

We had a killer time last night out in Royal Oak for Zombie Walk Detroit! The turnout was absolutely enormous! Many thanks to the organizers Kelli and Rich who really had their work cutout for them trying to control such a large group. As usual, we were there taking pictures and video.
All our pictures are posted here. If you have some pictures of your own, please comment with a link or email them to us at submissions@zombiereportingcenter.com.
We also passed out about 100 flyers so if you’re one of those people visiting our website for the first time, please take the time to check things out and see what we’re all about. (A good place to start is our ZRC Exclusives page which lists a lot of the great zombie stuff you’ll only find here.) Also make sure to stick around for the next few days because we’re going to have another great contest soon!
UPDATE: Motor Family in Motown sent us some more pictures here.
Last night was the 2007 Ann Arbor Zombie Walk (a seperate event than the last zombie walk we were at). It was a small event but lots of fun and drew a lot more spectators this time around. We’ve got the video below (with music by Count Smokula):
We have some pictures up here. I know we talked to a lot of people taking pictures who said they’d send us a link to their photos, so if you’re one of those people leave us a comment with the link!
Special thanks go to Bambi for organizing the event, and props go out to Suzanne and her son from Group of the Living Dead and Kelly from Zombie Walk Detroit who all came out to walk. This Saturday we will be at the Zombie Walk Detroit in Royal Oak, so make sure to come on out and say hi!
The staff of the Zombie Reporting Center went to the Ann Arbor Zombie Walk last night and had a blast! It was Friday night so downtown was at it’s busiest, and because of the nice weather nearly every restaurant had their outdoor tables filled with customers. Several “victims” were setup along the way for the zombies to attack. Needless to say, we had quite an audience for these impromptu shows.
Unfortunately the cops didn’t see it quite the same way, and forced the undead mass to divert their path. Still, ended up being a lot fun and I’m excited to do it again next year!
We compiled two videos for showing the walk for everyone who couldn’t be there:
