The EP is a tribute to the great zombie flicks of the 60′s, 70′s and 80′s! Almost recorded fully in low-fi for that right trashy sound.

You can download the entire album, for FREE at their website. If you just want a sampling of the music they also have an online player on this page. I listened to it quite a bit today and I REALLY like it. The song “The Initial Schock” [sic] is clearly inspired by the music of Goblin from the original Dawn of the Dead and my favorite on the album. I would love to see this end up on a zombie movie soundtrack someday!

It’s been 25 years since the release of Michael Jackson’s Thriller and Sony BMG are trying to get more sales out of the album – this time using everyone’s favorite buzz term “guerrilla marketing”. So what are they doing? Sending people dressed as zombies out into the streets who “spontaneously” break out into the famous Thriller dance. The idea is to get the song back in people’s heads, with the hopes that they’ll go home and buy the album. I’m sure that doesn’t work out that great but good on them for trying. (If they really wanted me to buy Thriller, they’d have to show me some undeniable proof that Jacko isn’t a child molester. )

Michigan folks in need of a zombie fix will have it this Friday at the Blind Pig in Ann Arbor. The night will have several bands, a burlesque show, and a carnival style sideshow. More details can be found here on the online edition of the Michigan Daily. They are asking attendees to dress up like zombies. Sounds like a fun night so make check it out if you’re in the area!
