About The ZRC

Launched in 2006 by Nate Higley and Erik Zempel, the Zombie Reporting Center is an online community dedicated to the latest happenings in the world of the undead.

Erik Zempel Erik Zempel is the owner and creator of several websites under his umbrella company International CyberWeb. Erik still remembers the first time he saw the original Night of the Living Dead while home alone as a teen. It left a powerful impression upon him, and to this day he feels that nothing will ever match the sheer horror of that film. He decided to share his passion for zombie movies with the world and launched this website in 2006. When not keeping the undead at bay, he can usually be found spending time with his lovely wife Erin, playing with his two chihuahuas, or riding his motorcycle. You can contact Erik at erik@zombiereportingcenter.com.
smallpicofme1.jpg Nate Higley is an underground comic book artist and freelance illustrator,  and the other half of the ZRC. He’s had a life-long fanaticism with the undead ever since he saw the original Dawn of the Dead some eighteen years ago. He digs horror soundtracks, especially the music of the Italian prog-rock band Goblin, and is a sucker for a good comic book. He also loves drinking lots of coffee and eating Chinese food while watching movies (especially horror, film noir and documentaries) . He lives with a mildly insane bunny, three semi-feral felines and one sometimes bawdy roommate. You can contact Nate at nate@zombiereportingcenter.com.

In 2009, the ZRC über- zombie movie reviewer Jef Porkins (and creator of Zombie Movie or Not?) left for some non-zombie relaxation (which means shit tons of work in other areas!), but you never know when/ where he might pop up here again. Other past contributors have also included Corey Graham (of the amazing zombie podcast Midnight Podcast) and blog writer Aaron Kleiber. We thank them for the contribution to the ZRC!
