Not overly complicated cosplay, but still worth a laugh…Star Wars Death Trooper zombies.

Check out this sneak-peek of the Pride and Prejudice and Zombies: The Graphic Novel, adapted by scribe Tony Lee (Doctor Who comic) and illustrated by Cliff Richards (Buffy the Vampire Slayer comic), courtesy of the awesome pop-culture blog Pop Candy.

Just in time for Easter comes this new Jesus Zombie print from Nakatomi, entitled Romero 3:16, by artist Omar Hauksson. Get yours here for only $12.99. From their site:
It’s that time of year again! Zombie Jesus Day is coming on Sunday, April 4th.
And as the good book says, from Romero Chapter 3, Verse 16, “And on the Third Day, HE rose to feast on the flesh of the living.”
This 16×22 silkscreen print is designed by Omar Hauksson and printed by the Monroeville Serigraph Company, from way back in 1976. Man, Monroeville…they’ve got a great mall there.
Hand numbered in an edition of 150, and ready to ship immediately in time for April 4th, Zombie Jesus Day!

Awesome! Viz Media is going to be releasing Q Hayashida’s dark as fuck manga series Dorohedoro, starting this month. While not primarily a zombie series, there is so much darkness and grit and monsters and zombies, that any fan of the genre should take a chance and check it out. Only $12.99 for 176 pages!

The humorous How to Speak Zombie: A Guide for the Living is now out from Chronicle Books (who also distributes Quirk Books, publisher of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies). It’s available for $14.95 and has 24 full color pages and a built-in sound module full of zombie sounds! From Chronicle’s description:
In a world overtaken by zombies, the only hope for survival lies in learning the language of the undead. How to Speak Zombie demonstrates how to blend in and avoid being eaten while carrying on with everyday activities like ordering a latte from a zombarista and shopping at a zombie-infested mall.

DC Comics imprint Vertigo launches their new zombie series I, Zombie, by Chris Roberson and Mike Allred, this May and issue one will only cost $1.00! I’m excited to see Allred’s crisp, clean style back doing horror comics and can not wait to read the first issue. You can sample I, Zombie by reading the seven page prequel from last year’s House of Mystery Halloween Annual online for free. Also, check out this interview with both creators from last summer on CBR.com to get some insight into their creation.
