The Crazies Remake Opens Today
While not exactly a zombie film, we thought you’d still like to know that The Crazies remake opens today! I’m a huge fan of the original 1973 George A. Romero film and I am heading out soon today to check out this new version. I was slightly surprised by the trailer for the remake by the simple fact that I after I watched it, I wanted to see it. Not normal for a remake theses days!

I liked it. It was well shot and had a good pace. Had some good jump scares as well. I would imagine one thing that helped it was that George Romero was a producer. The make up effects were good as well. We’ll have a review up soon for this on Mutantville Players on YouTube.com
Verdict: pretty good. Maybe one too many jump scares. Some nods to the original. I’ve definitely seen worse remakes; fans of the original should have no problem enjoying this one.
I dug it. It was refreshing to have dialogue that didn’t feel tired and forced and the effects were good. My full review will be up this week.
Loved it! Nice to see a “zombie type” film that was actually creepy to watch, And not a spoof of the genre. My two favorite sceens in the film are the deputy (he was a scene stealer) and those two crazies just punching the shit out off that garbage dumpster in the alley (WTF). I give this flick 8 headshots out of 10.
*Oh, and I apologize for the spelling errors. I submitted my review from an IPOD in a car…while I was driving a Toyota. :P
