Zombies in Africa: THE DEAD

Quiet Earth just posted a synopsis and trailer for an upcoming zombie movie that looks great — simply titled “The Dead.” I hate to get my hopes up like this, especially in this day and age when everyone and their grandmother is making zombie movies. But I can’t help but be excited for this one.

You can get it all here.

Looks pretty decent but i’ve got really bad experience with international zombie movies that suck (thanks zombie diaries) but I have a positive outlook on this one.

so far i like what is see. good title

as for doghouse, looks ok, but i am getting the feeling the trailer showed the best parts. reminds me of shaun of the dead without the love story;)

international zombie movies have been 50/50 same goes for the local market, so i have no problem seeing some stuff from other areas.

I am not a fan of ZONE OF THE DEAD, although I can see the appeal. Like the world cinĂ© vibe of The Dead though – ‘an African zonbie road movie’ – surely that’s a first too…

I hear THE DEAD is premiering at Fright fest in London on October 30th, zombie fans in make up waited nine hours for tickets. The Empire leicester Square theater which is the UKs biggest theater ( 1300+ seats) sold out in a few hours.

This film has a real buzz about it. it’s a small indie film, but that’s exactly what a great zombie film should be. World on the street here in LA is the Ford brothers have made a spectacular film and are going on to make bigger films in Hollywood with TriCoast Worldwide
