Pride and Prejudice and Zombies

I just got word this morning that the release date for Pride and Prejudice and Zombies has been moved up to April 13, 2009. Kick ass! Now I only have to wait a couple more weeks instead of a month and a half!
For those of you who haven’t heard about the book, here’s what the press release had to say:
“Jane Austen’s Regency classic collides with zombie horror at its best in the first of a new monster literary mash-up genre. Complete with romance and civilised sparring, social satire and rotting corpses, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies transforms Jane Austen’s masterpiece into a gory comedy of manners for a twenty-first century generation of readers.”
You’ll be able to find this at Amazon.com as well as at your favorite book retailer.

It’s already on shelves at Barnes & Noble. Or are you talking about the film’s release date?
Is there even a film? I’m a bit confused on that point.
Yea. Its on shelves already. I haven’t read it but i’ve been told it reads like Jane actually wrote it. suppose to be really good though.
It really shouldn’t be on shelves yet — I’ve been talking with the publisher. You can’t even order from Amazon.com yet.
The film rights are still being negotiated — thus the hurry to get the book out.
Could be a mistake, but my store is usually pretty strict about on-sale dates. Oh, well, I’m not telling.
i just purchase it this evening at the barnes and noble on monroe st in Toledo, OH. it was in the teen fiction section…
Its already out. I work at a bookstore and we’ve sold 5 of them and have two left.
bought this today at barnes & noble – have sifted through, plan to read full on tonight, looks great so far – funny as all get out!
I just ordered mine from Amazon.
they guys at the office know I am a zombie fan (active zombie squad member) and a Jane Austin fan, so this is a double win for me! 8-)
It sounds hilarious, but that picture of me on the cover is positively ghastly! I’m going to have to buy it now.
It’s already out for sure. My roommate is in the process of reading it right now. Borrowed it from a friend who got it in the last two weeks.
I picked it up at Boo Radley’s in Spokane yesterday. It is pretty darned good.
