UK Now Holds Zombie Guinness World Record?

According to Telegraph.co.uk, Nottingham, England has broken the world record for a zombie walk/ gathering, previously held by Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Nottingham had a hefty 1227 zombies, beating Pittsburgh previous record of 1124. I guess we’ll all just have to go to Pittsburgh next October and win it back! Road trip anybody?

EDIT: November 23- ZRC reader Nix pointed out that the final tally for Pittsburgh this year was 1,341. So according to the It’s Alive Zombie Fest, Pittsburgh should still hold the record. Both of these gatherings were done within a week of eachother and both are claiming the record. I’ve contacted Guinness about official counts on both walks, and hope to hear back from them soon.

WTF?! There is clearly a chick dressed up like the Joker right in front, at the bottom center of the page. I demand a recount!

What the…there’s another! Right behind the kid in the blue and white striped hoodie’s hand. Cheating Brits!
