That zombie in the front looks like Wilford Brimley.

Is this the one that was originally called Island of the Dead? I can’t find any info on “…of the Dead”, but imdb has Island of the Dead listed for a 2009 release.

I know a lot of flack was given to Romero’s last, and in some cases last 2, run ins with Zombies but… I can’t help but be excited!

Colum: AFAIK the new Romero flick doesn’t have an official title, yet. The joke has been that it has to be “(something) of the Dead”. (Note that Romero had to re-title Dead Reckoning to Land of the Dead.) Island of the Dead is, AFAIK, only a working title, perhaps an unofficial one at that. (Yes, it’s the same movie. And yes, it is a sequel to Diary of the Dead – and apparently a prequel to Land of the Dead. Go figure.)

By the way, there was another movie release earlier this year with the title “Of the Living Dead”. Confusing!

Civin: I can totally see what you mean… It’s hard not to get worked up over these things.

There was a lack luster film called Island of the Dead starring Roddy McDowell and Mos Def that came out sometime this millenium. I was planning on doing an Undead Ringer review of it, but I fell off the face of ZRC instead.

Actually, the movie isn’t all bad, so kinda so-so.
