World Zombie Day Report from Zombie Walk Detroit
This afternoon we went out to Zombie Walk Detroit to hang out with 180 other zombie fans in celebration of World Zombie Day. Unfortunately a car crash on I-275 thwarted our attempts to get there on time, but better late than never. It was quite the showing and we were happy to give away some of our swag to the participants and talk about zombie movies with a few like-minded people. By all accounts there was an overwhelming amount of money and food raised for a good cause. All credit goes to Kelli and the rest of the ZWD crew for putting on a fantastic event. Cash and check totals so far, without knowing what’s in some cash canisters that were around town, is around $2,055! YEEEE! Who’d have thought…?! Hundreds of pounds of food so far, too!
