Fearnet on Zombies: Fast or Slow?
Make it through which ever 30 second or so long commercial pops up first. It’s worth it for the video. Funny stuff with classic zombie film actors and production members. Ignore the stupid Suicide Girls though. Why the fuck are they in this?

I’m pro-slow-zombie too, but to make an understatement, it’s Romero biased. What kind of new blood is he hiring though that she’s gonna cite ’28 Days Later’ and everyone keen on selling in the zombie market nowadays has forgotten that ‘Return of the Living Dead’ ever existed? Also, am I the only person that recognizes that Bill Hinzman’s zombie is quite fast for a zombie and intelligent enough to *choose* a brick as a weapon? Let’s give GAR the leeway and say he had the foresight to introduce the idea of cognitive zombies from reel one, Hinzman is a jogging zombie who rebounds from a fall in under a second while fighting Johnny and covers about 100 yards in the time it takes Barbara to fall and pick up her shoe – I don’t think there are any undead *that* fresh.
I say slow.. It’s just more creepier.
Fast zombies do suck… Slow zombies are way more abundant and all stages for the most part of mortis, i.e. Livor Mortis, Rigor Mortis, and Algor Mortis all point to being a slow moving zombie if they exist.
Once the heart stops pumping, blood pools in the areas that are closest to the ground due to gravity (probably making a zombie heavier in certain areas of their bodies) then the stiffening of the muscles due to chemical changes in the muscles sets in for Rigor Mortis (again, would point to a slower moving body) then after the body cools down in Algor Mortis stage, making the body more difficult to move as freely as one would think Once the heart stops beating, blood collects in the most dependent parts of the body (livor mortis), the body stiffens (rigor mortis), and the body begins to cool (algor mortis). (think of how ice is ridged or congeals or coagulates, this would slow down a deceased creature)…
I know this may not make sense to some, but it does to me, thus making a slow moving zombie WAY more believable than something more monster-like as what people call “Fast Moving Zombies” no such thing… LOL… Oh heck I need some sleep…
What the hell!?!? I can’t believe I missed that con! Next time it’s so on. As for me…….slow!
