Are the dead rising because of abbot hayes, or all the dead rising, only some or what. God just dumb, dumb, dumb. I dont even know where to begin. We'll start by saying never before have I watched a feature length film in such a short time...that's because I spent half the film ast forwarding through the movie. first off I love Tom Savini; however frankly the way the film was cut they could have completely done this entire film without him, really the entire first 40 minutes of the film have absolutely no bearing on the story it seems. The whole 1st half of the film could have been summed up in probably 5 minutes and saved a ton of money on filming (and not have wasted my time). And boy if anyone out there can find any cohesion or make any sense of that plot whatsoever I have a crisp $100 bill with your name on it...Hell Ill be your slave for a month if you can explain this movie clearly to me. You could tell all the actors were hired locally (which isn't always a bad thing), they all looked like actors from a cheap injury attorney commercial. The production values were worse than even some of my middle school projects. The tone of the film was completely obscure; you couldn't tell if this was supposed to be funny, or a serious effort, or what the hell was happening which needless to say is not good. At least some low budget productions make an effort to be tongue-in-cheek, but it was rather evident that the writer had no experience at all in creating atmosphere. The dialogue was soooo long and boring and unnecessary. And when I say unnecessary i mean really without cause, there were just snippets of scenes and dialogue which didn't move the story at all. It was a few months ago that I watched this film and I actually find myself getting angry writing this review. Just people talking for no reason about absolutely nothing. Typically I shy away from writing reviews, leaving commentary and the like, but this movie was sooooo bad I simply could not remain silent. There are so many things wrong with this film: 1. Any zombie film has taught us that zombies aren't all that strong. So, why the fuck is Abbott Hayes able to lift people four feet from the ground and punch holes into their stomaches? 2. In order for the infection to spread, the infected saliva of the dead must enter a flowing blood source, why was Abbott able to bring the other five people back from the dead. Key word: DEAD. 3. What's with Abbott's walk? 4. Seriously, what's with his walk? 5. Even this makes no sense. If Abbott is still alive, then there are others that are capable of turning into the living dead. Why did he need to bite the dead for them to come back? Shouldn't they have already returned even after the crash killed them? 6. I mean it man. Seriously, WHAT'S WITH ABBOTT'S WALK!?!?!?!?!?!? 7. This is moreso a sequel to RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD, The film takes place during the events of that film, and yes it mentions the NIGHT film but still, it's moreso a sequel to RETURN than it is to NIGHT.
