Dead Space Mega-Post!

Dead Space Cover Art
We’ve been following the Dead Space story since January when we first heard about it. Unfortunately there was more rumor and hype surrounding the game than there were actual facts but we finally got to the bottom of things when we talked to a rep from Anchor Bay Entertainment last week.

Dead Space is more than just a video game – it’s multimedia franchise. The Dead Space story will start with a comic book mini series published by Image. The story continues with an animated movie by Anchor Bay, and concludes with the EA video game this Halloween. There will be some interesting interaction between the comic book/movie/video game – for example in the video game there may be a dead body in part of the space ship and the comic tells what happened to that person. Or in the game you’ll reach a room that is locked but if you watch the movie one of the characters will use a code to get in that also works in the game.

Now if reading is too much work for you, they put some “animated comic books” for your viewing enjoyment. So please, check out Dead Space Issue 1, 2, and 3.

Some game play video featuring “strategic dismemberment” is also available.
