Night of the Living Dead 8″ Figures Coming In June!
EMCE Toys, part of FearWerx, is releasing a new series of 8″ poseable Mego-style figures based on the classic Night of the Living Dead. From their press release:
The first two figures to be released are Bill Hinzman as the “Graveyard Zombie” from the film’s opening scene, and Duane Jones as “Ben”, the rifle-toting hero. later this year, EMCE will release Judith O’Dea as “Barbara” and Kyra Schon as the “Karen Cooper Zombie”. All figures are aprroved by the actors or their respective estates and are timed to the 40th anniversary of NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD. The heads are sculpted by fan favorite James Brady in the classic Mego rotocoast plastic style, and the figures are packaged in MEGO-style blister packaging with illustrations by original MEGO artist Harold Shull.
These figures look amazing and will be available June 2008, retailing for $17.99 each.

Don’t know about these, The heads look ok but the body are off. They look like they have little kid bodies.

Scott from FEARWERX dropping by with an update about the MEGO Night of the Living Dead figures.
A small setback with the manufacturers in China have pushed the release date for these toys back to October.
So the bad news is that eager fans will have to wait.
The good news is that they’ll be here in time for Halloween!
