When the Zombies come…

Stanley FUBAR

When the zombies come, this will be my weapon of choice! Meet the Stanley FUBAR. No picture that I have found does this ominous tool any justice. It’s almost two feet long, has a flat hammer surface on the top, a gripping/ripping surface on the other side, a nail puller on the bottom and a crow bar end. You could brain a zombie, pry open locked doors, board up doors/windows and bash your way out of any room that’s made of drywall or wood that you have cornered yourself in by letting the zombies gather in front of the solitary entrance.

You really need to see one of these with your own eyes. Upon first sight of this tool, my first impression, along with a co-worker (independently, of course) was to use it against zombies. Another co-worker had picked it up on a lark and decided to show it off to all the dudes. It cost him $40. This will be my very next medium-sized purchase.

If you have a bit of free time and good sense of humor, check out the website devoted to this singular tool. It has a tour of the tool, a demonstration video and an overall ambiance that plays to every man’s bone-headed sense of a need for destruction.

I can see your point. If I see any signs of impending zombie doomsday, I’ll be ordering me one of those.

I think Stanley (?) should produce a spoof zombie movie in order to market their tool. Or better yet, somebody should make a commercial for the thing and send it to the manufacturer (and of course post it online, duh!). I can think of worse ideas for a zombie short… Where’s the homegrown zombie movie community when you need it?

    I’ll take 3 gift wrapped!
You know, Romero is having that contest for a short zombie movie. Wouldn’t a commercial for this be likely to win?

dragonlady474: Now you’re talking… Do we have a resident filmmaker in the house?

I have a script running rampant through my head as I type. This might just be a goldmine!

I’ve made a few homemade zombie shorts/films for my book. But they’re not in any way a big production. However I do have a few things in my favor. My husband has a music studio and can polish the sound as well as make a minature sound track. Plus we have a fairly decent movie camera to work with (which we didn’t have when we shot the other videos).

So what are you waiting for? A script? Well, Jef has you covered, right? :-)

Figuring out what to shoot, when to shoot, and rounding up some zombies is the problem. Believe it or not it’s really hard to get people to play zombies here. Heretics.

    What? *disbelief*

The deep south (I’m a transplanted northerner), go figure.
