The Veil on DVD

There’s a new zombie film coming to DVD this Tuesday from Brain Damage Films, called The Veil. It comes across, in the trailer, as a mix of the Romero Night and Dawn films. The SWAT-like outfits of the characters and the old farmhouse location made me think of Peter and Roger being stuck in the NOTLD house, fending off the zombies who are there to eat them. Also, while I like the gas-mask look, the dialog is a little hard to hear at times, which made me wish they had mic’d the actors or had a better sound mix. You can decide for yourself by watching the trailer here and is available for pre-order here. I won’t be running out of the house on Tuesday to pick this up, but I will give it a chance/ watch and report back here with my findings.

i like the look, but it looks just like you said and a remake of NOLD with a twist.
some FX are better left out of the camera and left to the mind. the headshot where a piece of something went flying, although it showed a headshot, it looked a little.. errrr fake.
I’m not sure what to make of this British entry to our genre, but I suppose I will once I’ve viewed it… The assessment that it’s a mix of Night and Dawn was spot-on, by the way. (Not that it’s a bad idea for a zombie movie.) I think I’ll use that one once I get around to review the movie. *makingnotetoself*
Maybe you have a review on the make?
