What do you get when you mix zombies, strippers, horror legend Robert Englund and porn star Jenna Jameson? The low budget straight-to-DVD Zombie Strippers, based on the Theatre of the Absurd play Rhinoceros, by Eugène Ionesco, directed by Jay (The Slaughter) Lee. In Ionesco’s play, the people of a small town all turn into rhinoceros’ and in this “version”, strippers turn into zombies. Get it? So, I’ll be honest, this screams “National Lampoon’s Zombie Movie” to me, but you can decide for yourself by watching the trailer. On a side note, Robert Englund seems to be popping up in a lot of bad movies recently, like the pseudo remake 2001 Maniacs and Masters Of Horror episode Dance of the Dead, with Adam Green’s Hatchet being the only exception of late. Zombie Strippers is scheduled to be out by March on DVD from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. Here’s a short blurb about the movie:

In the not too distant future a secret government re-animation chemo-virus gets released into conservative Sartre, Nebraska and lands in an underground strip club. As the virus begins to spread, turning the strippers into “Super Zombie Strippers” the girls struggle with whether or not to conform to the new “fad” even if it means there’s no turning back.
