Lansing Police Not Really Preparing for Zombie Attack

Last week Lansing, Michigan police made headlines when newspapers around the world claimed those crazy American police were “stockpiling chainsaws” for a possible zombie attack. Fortunately, the Lansing State Journal sets the record straight:
The source of the news item was a tongue-in-cheek article that ran in NOISE the week before Halloween called “When zombies attack.”
Or, rather, it was a significant - one might even say intentional - misreading of that article, coupled with the unparalleled power of the Internet to turn entertaining rumors into something like facts.
