I apologize for the lack of a post on “Thriller Thursday” - we were unable to post because we were out at the Wayne State University Mortuary Science Open House last night. Our friend John works there and our friend Jenny is going to school there. Jenny was kind enough to give us a tour of the many embalming rooms, anatomy labs, and everything else that goes into the funeral process. It was quite the eye-opening experience and both fun and informative. They even have a small museum dedicated to all the old tools, techniques, and coffins from days gone by. If you are interested in seeing it for yourself, they hold an open house every year around Halloween so you’ll have to wait until next year!
