Halloween Candy Reviews Week One

Allow me to present to you our official ZRC candy tasters:
Myself:
And the lovely wife Erin:
We started off with Jones’ Soda Sour Lemon Drop Dead because Erin was thirsty.
Erin: “It smells like slightly old lemon juice”.
Erik: “It looks like Mountain Dew to me”.
Erin: (takes a sip) “EEEWWWW!!!!”
Erik takes a sip and makes this face:
(No dogs were harmed in the making of this website)
Erik: “It tastes like I’m drinking liquid Sour Patch Kids.”
Erin: “I love Sour Patch Kids. The first sip was difficult, but now I’ve adjusted to it and am enjoying it!”
Erik: “I think it’s giving me heartburn”
Next up is the Harry Potter Blood Pops.
Erin: “Yum! These taste really good.”
Erik: “There’s something strange going on with the texture here. It’s very un-sucker like. Let me see your tongue!”
Erin sticks out her tongue. It is decidedly un-bloody. Erik is disappointed.
Erik: “Are you seriously dipping your sucker into that nastiness?”
Erin: “Hell yes I am!”
Erik: “I would give these an A for strawberry flavor, but an E for texture.”
Erin: “I love the texture. Kind of reminds me of a tongue.”
Finally we had the Scary Skeleton candy which came in a really cool neon green coffin.
Erik: “When I die I want to be buried in a coffin like this.”
Erin: “I didn’t realize this was a puzzle!”
Erik: “Well yeah, that’s what makes it fun! People don’t buy this stuff for the flavor.”
Erin: “Yeah this is pretty gross.”
Erik: “It’s kind of like a cross between a Smartie and a Sweet Tart. And cement. Seriously I had trouble biting in to this. They sell this stuff to kids?”
Overall it was a rather disappointing night for candy. Nothing was particularly good and just left us craving some GOOD candy.
