Ann Arbor Zombie Walk 2007

Zombie Jef Porkins

The staff of the Zombie Reporting Center went to the Ann Arbor Zombie Walk last night and had a blast! It was Friday night so downtown was at it’s busiest, and because of the nice weather nearly every restaurant had their outdoor tables filled with customers. Several “victims” were setup along the way for the zombies to attack. Needless to say, we had quite an audience for these impromptu shows.

Unfortunately the cops didn’t see it quite the same way, and forced the undead mass to divert their path. Still, ended up being a lot fun and I’m excited to do it again next year!

We compiled two videos for showing the walk for everyone who couldn’t be there:

And this second video is a quick one showing one of the gruesome attacks from another angle:

Many thanks to those that participated, and thanks to Erin for helping me shoot the video and taking that great picture above.

The public response was great – everyone either loved it or were just confused by it. The cops didn’t want us going down the rest of Main Street so we had to take a detour down an alley.

The cops seemed good-natured enough. Good-natured, considering you were zombies – and they have shotguns. :)
