Here’s another cool zombie t-shirt, with a great quote from The Return of the Living Dead. Available here for only $20.

Gospel of the Living Dead: George Romero’s Vision of Hell on Earth, by author Kim Paffenroth Ph. D., is the book for fans of George Romero’s biting social-political and religous themes.
From the publisher’s site:
This volume connects American social and religious views with the classic American movie genre of the zombie horror film. For nearly forty years, the films of George A. Romero have presented viewers with hellish visions of our world overrun by flesh-eating ghouls. This study proves that Romero’s films, like apocalyptic literature or Dante’s Commedia, go beyond the surface experience of repulsion to probe deeper questions of human nature and purpose, often giving a chilling and darkly humorous critique of modern, secular America.
While this can be a slighty dry read at times, it is definitely worth checking out.

PopMatters has a nice little write-up on the Dead and Deader press event. Dead and Deader is new SciFi Channel original movie which premiered last Saturday night.
TiVo recorded this for me, but I have yet to watch it. I’ll write up a full review after I have. Look for it here soon!

Fragland has a preview of a Raw Danger, a new Zombie-themed PS2 game set to come out in February 2007. The graphics are a littel jagged - I am curious if this is meant for the PSP instead of the Ps2. At any rate, there are scarce few details at this point other than the following description in a press release:
Raw Danger drops players into a city surrounded by mountains, ocean, and rivers, and then drops torrential rains on top of them. All order has collapsed and it’s time to hightail it outta town. Bridges are being washed away, buildings are collapsing, and flash floods stand in the way of your safety.

This shirt is a fun parody of the Subway logo. Available here for only $18.

For those of you who aren’t reading The Walking Dead please just do yourself a big favor and pick up a copy of the graphic novels. It’s a nice fresh take on the zombie genre, with lots of social commentary and a large cast of characters. Sort of like the War and Peace of zombie world.
Anyway, the last issue, #33, sold out in less than 24 hours. It is being re-printed, but won’t be back in stores until January. Here’s hoping a copy is waiting for me in my pull at my favorite local comic shop.

Rue Morgue, a magazine for true fans of horror, has it’s own internet radio show up and running. This week’s show highlights music, interviews and sound clips from classic George Romero zombie films. Includes “Feedback” on the set of George Romero’s DIARY OF THE DEAD (featuring interviews with cast and crew), excerpts from Night of the Living Dead and Land of the Dead, and the songs CAUSE I’M A MAN by P. Reno (from the unreleased soundtrack to Dawn of the Dead) and GEORGE ROMERO WILL BE AT OUR WEDDING by Showbread. Zombie radio goodness awaits you all.

Marvel Comics and Dynamite Entertainment has announced a new crossover between their companies in “Marvel Zombies vs. the Army of Darkness”. After the success of both companies titles, this seems like a perfect chance to see some all out blood baths between the two. The first issue hits shelves in March 2007, right after the release of Dynamite’s “Army of Darkness” #13. The series runs concurrently with the original 2006 “Marvel Zombies” series (which has recently been collected into a hardcover collection).
